Wool is a natural fiber that is both natural and renewable. It is also full of great characteristics – it is soft, retains heat and absorb moisture. Most of our wool garments are mixed with polyester to make it extra durable. The key to make your garment look good for a long time is to take good care of it. Over time, lints will appear on these types of coats, it is a natural process of wearing wool. The lints can easily be removed using a wool comb, to smooth out the surface.

The natural fiber in wool contains fatty acids that inhibit the growth of mold, bacteria and repels water that can cause the mold to grow. This means that the material by itself has a self-cleaning quality and does not need to be washed regularly to keep fresh. Some advice is to ventilate your wool garment outside for a while. If a stain has occurred, try to treat it with a damp cloth (for more difficult stains, try to treat it with liquid wool detergent). Always test on a small, not visible area first before treating the actual stain.

If you must wash your wool garment – follow the wash care thoroughly and hand it in to a certified dry cleaner. They have the best knowledge on how to take care of the garment.

Store your wool garment hanging on a hanger in an airy space – do not use compression bags or vacuum storage. If you follow this, your jacket will have the best conditions for a long lifetime.

When it is time to use the coat again, shake and air your garment outside to make it ready for a new season.

Please remove your trim from the jacket before washing. Handwash your trim. To keep your trim nice and fluffy we recommend you to brush it using our trim brush.
